About Rob Kreibich

Rob is fighting to be the “voice of small business” in the State Legislature, promoting the region as a good place to expand or relocate a business.

A native of western Wisconsin, Rob Kreibich grew up in nearby River Falls. He earned a journalism degree from the University of Minnesota and went to work at NBC affiliate WEAU TV in Eau Claire as a reporter and anchor. He shifted from reporting news to making news when he was elected to the State Assembly in his early 30s.

The highlight of his 14-year-career in the legislature was authoring the Edvest College Savings Program. In his current job as CEO and President of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce, he has nearly tripled membership and transformed the chamber into a regional juggernaut.

It’s more than a title to Rob – his passion for public service is driven by helping everyday people start the business of their dreams. During the pandemic, Rob helped small businesses navigate the uncertainty by providing platforms and events for them to prosper.

Our communities need government to be an ally, not an obstacle to job growth and job creation. - Rob Kreibich
